Owner of Greentree Yoga Portsmouth
In 2017 I was coming to the end of my time working in a very stressful job that I did alongside my yoga teaching practice.
I had been teaching Hatha yoga for 12 years after completing my training with the Kevala Centre in Devon, and am deeply grateful for, and convinced of, the benefits of this practice. At the same time I was looking for something less stressful on my joints and to help me manage the chronic pain in my hips and the stress of my other job.
Thankfully, I discovered Restorative Yoga and instantly recognised that this was a powerful and deeply healing way I could continue to practice yoga, and look after my body at the same time.
In February 2018 I attended 50 hour teacher training in Restorative Yoga with Deborah Berryman, a student of Judith Lasater, and have been profoundly moved and inspired by the changes in my own health, and that of my students and one-to-one clients.
I was thankfully able to leave my stressful job and focus purely on Yoga teaching. I feel so grateful that I am able to share the practice of Restorative Yoga, as well as continuing to teach Hatha Yoga, enabling me to use my knowledge of both these practices to support my students.
